YAMUNOTRI
Yamunotri, also Jamnotri, is the source of the Yamuna River and the seat of the Goddess Yamuna in Hinduism. It is situated at an altitude of 3,293 metres (10,804 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayas and located approximately 150 kilometers (93 mi) North of Uttarkashi, the headquarters of the Uttarkashi district in the Garhwal Division of Uttarakhand, India. It is one of the four sites in India's Chhota Char Dham pilgrimage. The sacred shrine of Yamunotri, source of the river Yamuna, is the westernmost shrine in the Garhwal Himalayas, perched atop a flank of Bandar Poonch Parvat. The chief attraction at Yamunotri is the temple devoted to the Goddess Yamuna and the holy thermal springs at Janki Chatti which is 7 km away.

Day 1
Haridwar - Barkot
Drive 190 km
The first day will start from haridwar railway station. the journey will go forward via mussoorie & lakhmandal. The tour will take the visitations of the 'fairyland' situated in between the Doon valley and shivalik ranges named as mussoorie. It is just 90 kms distant from haridwar. This is the most famous and people loving place to visit in uttarakhand. After visiting all the places the tour will proceed to barkot and check in into hotel rooms and spend a comfortable night.
Day 2
Barkot - Yamunotri

The day will start by the cup of tea and with the wonderful scenory from your hotel room's window. Have yummy breakfast and prepare for yourself for drive to yamunotri. The drive will wait in the area of hanuman chatti 13km near to yamunotri then jankichatti which is 7km distant from yamunotri. In the route yoy'll gonna see the dodital which is a mysterious lake, where the lord ganesha had took birth. After trekking after reaching at yamunotri you will see the Divya silla which is a rock pillar. The main temple is dedicated to mata yami. And there are two kunds named as surya kund (1900degree F) and saptrishi kund which is a greyish blue water bank source of river yamuna.
